President Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa who is also the Commander in Chief of the Defense Forces has toured and commissioned the Dzivarasekwa Defense Housing Project in Harare. The housing project commissioned is aimed at providing housing to members of the ZDF.
Speaking during the commissioning ceremony His Excellency President Mnangagwa said Government is committed to providing modern, affordable and safe houses for both public service officials and the Zimbabwean citizens.
“In line with Vision 2030, the Second Republic, under my leadership is facilitating the provision of housing which is a basic and fundamental need,” he said.
President Mnangagwa also handed over a fleet of ford ranger vehicles to the ZDF for operational use. The vehicles will enable the defense forces to effectively and efficiently do their duties towards attainment of Vision 2030
